اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّهِ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَالْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ
Allahummaghfir lahu warhamhu wa 'afihi wa'fu 'anhu wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi' mudkhalahu waghsilhu bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-barad, wa naqqihi minadh-dhunubi wal-khataya kama yunaqqath-thawbul-abyadhu minad-danas, wa abdilhu daran khayran min darih, wa ahlan khayran min ahlih, wa zawjan khayran min zawjih, wa adkhilhul-Jannata wa a'idhhu min 'adhabil-qabri wa 'adhabin-Nar
O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him well-being, pardon him, honor his reception, expand his entrance, and wash him with water, snow, and hail. Cleanse him of sins and wrongdoings as a white garment is cleansed of filth. Grant him an abode better than his home, a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.
The full du'a the Prophet ﷺ made during the janazah (funeral) prayer for a deceased person. It covers every dimension of the afterlife: spiritual purification (cleansed like a white garment), upgrading of everything left behind (better home, better family, better spouse than this world could offer), and the two ultimate requests — entry to Paradise and protection from the grave's punishment and the Fire. This is the du'a people need at funerals — memorize it.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the trial of the grave and from the punishment of the grave.
Sahihاللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْنِي عِنْدَ السُّؤَالِ، اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْنِي بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ
O Allah, keep me firm at the time of questioning. O Allah, make me firm with the firm word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.
Sahihاللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ عَبْدُكَ وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، كَانَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ، وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ
O Allah, he is Your servant, son of Your male servant, son of Your female servant. He used to testify that there is no deity except You and that Muhammad is Your servant and messenger, and You know him best.
Hasanاللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our young and our old, our males and our females, our present and our absent.
