سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
SubhanAllah
Glory be to Allah. (Said when descending a valley or landing.)
Jabir (RA) reported: "When we descended, we would say SubhanAllah, and when we ascended, we would say Allahu Akbar." Descending into valleys evokes humility — you are going lower, and tasbeeh (glorifying Allah above all imperfections) fits naturally. In modern travel, say it when the plane descends for landing, when the elevator goes down, or when driving downhill. The Companions turned the landscape itself into a prayer schedule: every rise and dip in terrain triggered remembrance of Allah. This simple word, repeated at every descent, transforms geography into worship.
