Allahumma Antas-sahibu fis-safari wal-khalifatu fil-ahl
O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Guardian over the family.
The traveler has two worries: the road ahead and the family left behind. This du'a addresses both in one breath. Allah is your companion on the road — you are never traveling alone — and He is the one watching over your family in your absence. No human can be in two places at once, but Allah can.
