Allahumma aslamtu nafsi ilayk, wa wajjahtu wajhi ilayk, wa fawwadtu amri ilayk, wa alja'tu dhahri ilayk, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilayk. La malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilayk. Amantu bikitabikal-ladhi anzalta wa bi-nabiyyikal-ladhi arsalt
O Allah, I submit myself to You, turn my face to You, entrust my affairs to You, and lean my back against You, out of hope and fear of You. There is no refuge or escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed and Your Prophet whom You sent.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "If you die that night, you die upon the fitrah (natural disposition of Islam). And make these the last words you speak." This du'a is a complete surrender — body ("I submit myself"), face ("I turn to You"), affairs ("I entrust"), and back ("I lean on You"). Every direction of your being is pointed toward Allah before unconsciousness takes over.
