There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things capable. There is no deity except Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, gave victory to His servant, and defeated the confederates alone.
Said atop Mount Safa (and Marwah), facing the Ka'bah with hands raised. The Prophet ﷺ said this three times, making personal du'as between each repetition. "Hazamal-ahzaba wahdah" — He defeated the confederates alone — refers to the Battle of the Trench, when 10,000 soldiers besieged Madinah and Allah sent a wind that scattered them. Standing on Safa, you declare that the God who defeated armies alone can handle your problems.
