بِسْمِ اللَّهِ, الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ, اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ
Bismillah, Alhamdu lillah, Allahumma barik lana fih
In the Name of Allah, praise be to Allah, O Allah bless it for us.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you eats, he should not wipe his hand until he has licked it or had it licked." He also said: "You do not know in which part of your food the barakah lies." The etiquette of eating in Islam is not just manners — it is theology. Every morsel might contain the blessed portion. Finishing your plate, licking your fingers, and saying these words ensures nothing of value is wasted.
