رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
Rabbana hab lana min ladunka rahmatan wa hayyi' lana min amrina rashada
Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and prepare for us right guidance in our affair.
The du'a of the People of the Cave (Ashab al-Kahf) — young believers who fled persecution and sought refuge. They asked for two things: mercy (to protect them in their vulnerability) and rushd (right guidance in their decision to hide). For families facing difficult decisions — relocation, financial hardship, social pressure — this du'a asks Allah to give you both protection and wisdom simultaneously.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ مِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا اسْتَعَاذَ مِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked You for, and I seek refuge from the evil that Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sought refuge from.
Hasanاللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِي أَهْلِي وَبَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيَّ وَارْزُقْنِي خَيْرَهُمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ خَيْرِي
O Allah, bless me through my family and bless them through me. Grant me the best of them and grant them the best of me.
Atharاللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ
O Allah, I ask You for her goodness and the goodness of what You have created in her nature, and I seek refuge in You from her evil and the evil of what You have created in her nature.
Hasanبَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي الْمَوْهُوبِ لَكَ وَشَكَرْتَ الْوَاهِبَ وَبَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَرُزِقْتَ بِرَّهُ
May Allah bless you in what He has given you. May you give thanks to the One who granted this gift. May the child reach maturity, and may you be granted his righteousness.
