رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
Rabbi hab li min ladunka waliyyan yarithuni wa yarithu min ali Ya'qub, waj'alhu Rabbi radiyya
My Lord, grant me from Yourself an heir who will inherit from me and from the family of Ya'qub. And make him, my Lord, pleasing to You.
Zakariyya's (AS) more detailed du'a for a son. He did not just want any child — he wanted one who would inherit the prophetic legacy of the family of Ya'qub (AS). And the final request: "make him pleasing to You" — not pleasing to me, not successful by worldly standards, but radiyya — someone Allah is pleased with. The highest aspiration a parent can have for their child.

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, accept my supplication.
Sahihرَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us a leader for the righteous.
Sahihاللَّهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتَنَا فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ
O Allah, make good the outcome of all our affairs and protect us from the disgrace of this world and the punishment of the Hereafter.
Sahihرَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
