اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. (Said when ascending a hill or taking off.)
Jabir (RA) said: "When we ascended, we would say Allahu Akbar, and when we descended, we would say SubhanAllah." The logic is beautiful: ascending brings you closer to the sky, so you declare Allah's greatness; descending reminds you of His perfection, so you glorify Him.
