Man qara'a Ayatal-Kursi hina ya'wi ila firashihi lam yazal 'alayhi min Allahi hafidhun wa la yaqrabuhu shaytanun hatta yusbih
Whoever recites Ayatul-Kursi when going to bed, Allah appoints a guardian for him, and no devil will come near him until morning.
Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated that a man was assigned to guard charity dates, and a creature kept stealing from the store. The creature taught Abu Hurayrah to recite Ayatul Kursi before sleeping, saying no devil would come near him. The Prophet ﷺ confirmed this, saying: "He told you the truth, even though he is a liar — that was a Shaytan."
