تَدَاوَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ دَوَاءً
Tadawaw fa innallaha lam yada' da'an illa wada'a lahu dawa'
Seek treatment, for Allah has not created any disease without creating a cure for it.
Not a du'a but a prophetic command — seek medical treatment. Islam does not promote fatalism about illness. The Prophet ﷺ affirmed that every disease has a cure; some we have discovered and some we haven't yet. This hadith is the Islamic mandate for medical research, pharmacy, and healthcare. Du'a and medicine are not opposites — they are both commanded.
