Ghufranaka

I seek Your forgiveness.

SahihAbu Dawud 30, At-Tirmidhi 7

Aisha (RA) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ would say this when leaving the bathroom. Scholars explain the wisdom: you ask forgiveness because you were in a place where you could not remember Allah, or because relieving oneself reminds us of the blessings of health we take for granted.

In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy.

And I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah alone, with no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. I am pleased with Allah as Lord, Muhammad as Messenger, and Islam as religion.

Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of these dwellings, believers and Muslims. Indeed, we will, Allah willing, join you. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you.

Sahih

There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is the Ever-Living who does not die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable.
