رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Rabbana atmim lana nurana waghfir lana innaka 'ala kulli shay'in Qadir
Our Lord, perfect our light for us and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things capable.
On the Day of Judgement, believers will have a light running before them and on their right. The hypocrites will call out: "Wait for us — let us borrow from your light!" (57:13). But the believers will pray this du'a: "perfect our light" — don't let it go out, don't let it dim, complete it so it guides us across the Sirat (bridge over Hell). Your good deeds in this life become literal light in the next.

O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask of Your great bounty. You are capable and I am not. You know and I do not. And You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know this matter is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs — decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless me in it. And if You know this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs — turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me what is good wherever it may be, then make me content with it.
