بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Allahi Rabbina tawakkalna
In the Name of Allah we enter, in the Name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we place our trust.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a man enters his house and mentions Allah upon entering and upon eating, Shaytan says to his companions: 'You have no place to spend the night and no dinner.' But when he enters without mentioning Allah, Shaytan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night.'"
Related Du'as
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is the Ever-Living who does not die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable.
Hasanبِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy.
Sahihبِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.
Sahihبِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
In the Name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil male and female jinn.
