O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name belonging to You — which You have named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or taught any of Your creation, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You — that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the departure of my grief, and the relief of my anxiety.

SahihMusnad Ahmad 3712

The Prophet ﷺ said: "No one who is struck by worry or grief and says this except that Allah will replace his grief with joy." The Companions asked: "Should we learn these words?" He ﷺ said: "Yes, everyone who hears them should learn them." This is considered one of the most powerful du'as for depression and sadness in the entire Sunnah.
