اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ اشْفِهِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
Allahumma Rabban-nas, adh-hibil-ba's, ishfihi wa Antash-Shafi, la shifa'a illa shifa'uka, shifa'an la yughadiru saqama
O Allah, Lord of the people, remove the suffering. Heal — for You are the Healer. There is no cure except Your cure — a cure that leaves no illness behind.
The Prophet ﷺ would visit the sick, place his right hand on them, and say this. Aisha (RA) narrated that during his final illness, she would recite this and wipe his body with his own hand, believing his hand carried more blessing than hers. "A cure that leaves no illness behind" — not a partial recovery, not remission, but complete healing.
Related Du'as
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity except You.
Hasanلَا بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
No worry, it is a purification, if Allah wills.
Sahihاللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity except You. O Allah, I seek refuge from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge from the punishment of the grave. There is no deity except You.
Hasanاللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ مُذْهِبَ الْبَأْسِ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شَافِيَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ اشْفِ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
O Allah, Lord of mankind, Remover of hardship, heal — for You are the Healer, there is no healer except You. Heal with a healing that leaves no illness.
